Green Campaign (120 points)
Students will select and research an environmental issue connected to DU, Denver, and the American West, and then develop, compose, and disseminate a multi-genre green campaign that informs the public audience and advocates for change. We will read and discuss examples of the genre prior to submission. The green campaign will include the following genres:
- Part 1, an op-ed that is 700 – 800 words in length and written to an appropriate newspaper (e.g. DU Clarion, Denver Post) (50 points)
- Part 2, an infographic driven by research and disseminated via social media and your (e)portfolio (40 points)
- Part 3, a series of social media posts, published online (30 points)
Students will meet with the instructor to discuss the green campaign. More details about this assignment will be provided in class.
